As parent myself, I know only too well the feeling of frustration and despair that education and NHS funding cuts are having on the services available to support vulnerable children.  If you are concerned about your child's speech, language or communication skills, we may be able to provide the additional support they need. In some cases it may also be possible to cover the cost of these services with pupil premium funding, EHC plans or disability allowance.
I have a wealth of experience working with children with a range of special educational needs including Autism, ADHA, MLD and physical disabilities. I appreciate every child is unique and I will work closely with you to understand just how your child likes to learn, what makes them tick and what makes the mad! I start by gathering as much information about their communication, learning style and likes with my Communication Passport. This is a really useful tool that you can share with their school and external agencies to help the key workers to understand your child's needs. It also helps to provide essential information to enable to me to tailor our activities around things I know will engage them.
With your permission, I am happy to liaise with school staff and external agencies to ensure best practice for your child and will always refer you to an alternative professional if I feel my service is not appropriate for your child's needs.
